The Evolution of the Lighthouse Hub
For those unfamiliar, the Lighthouse Hub serves as a central location for training, invoicing, quotes, ticketing, and access to knowledge articles. Despite its comprehensive offerings, it has been missing a crucial feature that empowers clients to track IT assets effectively.
Introducing the IT Asset Manager
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the IT Asset Manager on the Hub. As a business owner, keeping tabs on computers and hardware is often challenging, and while we assist where possible, having the ability to know the status of assets at a glance or their history can be invaluable. Our new IT Asset Manager is designed precisely for this purpose.
If you are a client admin on the Hub, getting started with the IT Asset Manager is straightforward. It offers a view of your various hardware assets, provides basic specifications, and helps you track the disposal process when the time comes to let go of the devices.
No longer will you need to wonder about the status of your equipment; you’ll have all the details at your fingertips regarding each device, including whether it’s active, inactive, transferred, or disposed of.
Navigating the IT Asset Manager
To explore this new feature, log in to the Lighthouse Hub and access the IT Assets application by clicking on your profile name and selecting ‘My Account.’ A new icon labeled ‘IT Assets’ will be visible, indicating where you can delve into the tracked devices.
The Harmony Insight agent plays a crucial role here by logging data into the Hub to provide up-to-date information about your devices. If a device goes offline or is removed from the system, it becomes marked as inactive, preparing it for disposal.
Exploring Device Details
The IT Asset Manager allows for filtering devices based on specifications such as RAM, disk usage, and disk space. These filters help identify which devices are active, inactive, transferred, or disposed of. Diving into specifics, you can find detailed information such as the manufacturer, model, serial number, operating system, and responsible user.
Additionally, we are working on incorporating warranty information soon, enhancing your insights into asset management.
Disposal Management Made Easy
Disposing of a device has never been easier. By using the ‘Dispose’ button, you can select categories like recycled, lost, stolen, or even donated, providing a reason for the disposal. Once confirmed, the device’s status updates to reflect its disposal type. This aids in maintaining complete records of asset management and ensures you never lose sight of valuable equipment.

The IT Asset Manager is now live for users on the Harmony management platform, delivering a new standard in asset tracking. It’s time to explore this feature and prepare for further exciting upgrades on the Hub in the coming months.
