You might have noticed some extra buttons the last time you joined us; these are thanks to the sales module now being enabled. Activating the Sales App is simple. Just find the app, hit activate, and in a few moments, all necessary apps are installed. Odoo's beauty lies in its harmonious integration within your systems. Crafting the Perfect Quote
Previously, we considered selling Bob a substantial number of office chairs. Although we marked it as won in the last video, we hadn't formally quoted him. Let's rectify that and create a new quotation. With Odoo, once I access our CRMΒ screen, I notice changes in the buttons and layout, enhancing functionality. Creating a new quote is straightforward; everything is pre-populated. Odoo recognizes it's Bob we're dealing with, integrating all information without the need for manual entry. This integration isn't just convenient; it reflects the future of business processes where systems talk within a single platform.
Quote Customizations and Confirmations
Odoo offers a simple interface to manage quotations. You can add products, adjust quantities, and update orders in real time. You'll notice a new quotation button, tracking revisions effortlessly for customer requests. It's rewarding to preview what Bob will see, a branded quote that includes options to sign, pay, or modify the order. Customizing quotes according to customer preferences is easy, ensuring better communication and faster decision-making.
Closing the Deal
Once the order is confirmed, the system recognizes it as a sales order, indicating a need to proceed with equipment ordering or delivery. Although we haven't activated the inventory module, Odoo makes the invoicing process seamless, carrying over all information from the quote to an invoice draft, ready for confirmation.
