Big Sky Bans TikTok
So long as the governor signs the bill, (which they more than likely will since they supported the bill in the first place) as of January 2024, app stores will no longer be permitted to offer TikTok in the state of Montana.
Instagram's new rival, Lemon8
A new app called Lemon8 has been blowing up in the social media sphere as a direct rival to Instagram and has been gaining a following through TikTok.
LinkedIn rolls out ways to verify your identity and employment, for free.
A new method of verifying your LinkedIn account has rolled out and is available to everyone for free in stark contrast to its competitors.
Twitter is shutting down their free API tier, hopefully the end of bots.
This very well might just be a scheme to get more money, but if it means that there are less bots spamming everyone then it might not be so bad.
Elon Musk says Twitter's 'For You' page will only recommend verified accounts.
Additionally, only verified users will be able to vote in polls.
Bluesky may be the best Twitter clone.
Many people have been reacting positively to the beta and Bluesky's promises for the future make it sound quite promising.
