A California district court has ruled in favor of WP Engine and ordered Automattic to restore their access to WordPress.com and the Advanced Custom Fields plugin; WordPress.com has done so very passive-aggressively. Co-founder of Blogger, Twitter, and Medium, Evan Williams, has just introduced us to his latest app, Mozi, which he hopes will help foster in-person connections by assisting in sharing plans with friends and family. Instagram has just launched its new 'Trial Reels' feature to allow users to test new content with general audiences before publishing it to their normal 'Reel' for their followers. The Pew Research Center has completed a study on the social media habits of U.S. teens in 2024, finding what platforms are most popular and their most common demographics. Lastly, Temu has topped Apple's charts of the most downloaded apps in the App Store, beating out Threads and TikTok.
