Welcome back to Lighthouse Labs! Today, we’re excited to share something new and innovative that has just hit the market: the EPOS Adapt E1 true wireless earbud headset. Recently released by our friends at EPOS, these earbuds present a compelling alternative for those of you exploring options beyond the typical AirPods and AirPods Pro. Whether you are a business owner looking to equip your team with reliable audio solutions or an Android device user searching for compatibility, these earbuds may be the perfect fit for you. Let’s dive in! (If you haven't already, watch the video at the bottom of this article!)

First Impressions and Unboxing

The EPOS Adapt E1 comes to you in eco-friendly packaging, staying true to its enterprise-grade nature. Inside, you’ll find the minimalistic yet high-quality case, along with earbud one, earbud two, and notably, a USBC dongle. The inclusion of a USBC dongle means seamless connectivity with modern devices and adds extra convenience.

Pairing Challenges

A quick word to those eager to get started: pairing can be slightly tricky if you aren't aware of the process. To pair effectively, ensure the earbuds are placed inside the open case. Initially, I attempted to pair them with my tablet and encountered more difficulties than anticipated. With the correct configuration, however, pairing becomes a straightforward task.

Sound and Microphone Quality

When it comes to sound quality, the EPOS Adapt E1 doesn't disappoint. While I often lean towards my trusted Klipsch earbuds, the noise-canceling feature of the EPOS Adapt E1 stands out as remarkably effective. Although the audio quality might not surpass Klipsch, it remains impressive nonetheless. As for the microphone, performance varies depending on the platform. On platforms such as Teams or Zoom, the earbuds deliver excellent audio. However, during our frequent 3CX calls, there was a noticeable dip in quality. This observation serves as a minor caution to potential users.

Value for Money

Priced at an attractive $229, the EPOS Adapt E1 provides additional ear tips for a personalized fit and user-friendly button controls for straightforward operation. The charging case exudes quality, with USBC input for charging. While they do not claim to be AirPod Pros, especially for iPhone users, they present a formidable option for PC, tablet, and Android users.

Conclusion

Overall, the EPOS Adapt E1 is an outstanding buy for professionals seeking versatile earbuds for their devices. Though they may not offer the seamless integration of AirPod Pros with an iPhone, their performance with other devices ensures they merit your attention.
