In today's ever-evolving technological landscape, adaptability and simplicity are key. At Lighthouse, we're committed to providing innovative solutions that make life easier for small businesses. I'm excited to share with you the latest in our line of groundbreaking products: the Harmony Cloud in a Box.

Embracing Simplified Solutions

One aspect we're particularly proud of at Lighthouse is our ability to adapt and simplify solutions, much like how car manufacturers offer package deals to streamline choices. This approach has been fundamental in the development of our Harmony SBE program over the past five to six years. Designed to be a cost-effective server hosting solution, the SBE program allowed small businesses to enjoy robust features without hefty costs. It bundled identity security and much more into a single, manageable package.

From Gen Two to the Next Level

Our Gen Two SBE server, manufactured by Antsel, was a significant step forward. This server was resilient, lacked noisy fans, and was packed with features like EDR RAM and virtualization capabilities. However, we learned from experience that passive cooling wasn't sufficient in certain environments. The Intel Atom processor, while generally reliable, sometimes struggled under intensive workloads.

Meet the Harmony Cloud in a Box

After much research and development, we are thrilled to introduce the Harmony Cloud in a Box. This latest addition to our SBE lineup features active cooling, addressing one of our significant previous challenges. Manufactured by Protectli based on our specifications, this server includes two additional fans to effectively manage heat under heavy loads.

The Harmony Cloud in a Box is equipped with a powerful 10-core, 12-thread Intel processor that can reach speeds up to 4.7 GHz. It boasts diverse networking options, including two 10-gig SFP+ ports and four 2.5 gig ports. With 64 GB of memory and four terabytes (functionally 2 for redundancy) of partitioned storage, this server promises redundancy while remaining efficient.

Advanced Management and Future-Proofing

Our new server features a KVM-based cloud-managed operating system, which replaces the older, slower methods of VPN and IPMI connections. The centralized portal allows us to address issues swiftly, enhancing our cloud-managed capabilities. Looking ahead, we anticipate clustering capabilities by year's end, enabling multiple units to share resources and offer a genuine private cloud experience.

Flexible and Scalable Solutions

The Harmony Cloud in a Box is available for outright purchase or as part of a monthly subscription added to your Harmony package. This solution is just the beginning, with plans to scale into our larger server offerings. For clients with more than 15 users or those seeking the benefits of cloud resilience without committing entirely to cloud solutions, our hybrid model provides an ideal balance.

In conclusion, if it's time to upgrade your server infrastructure, consider the Harmony Cloud in a Box. Whether you're a small business or a larger enterprise, we have effective solutions to match your needs.
